Capturing History Through the Lens

For the past 15 years, my life’s calling has been to document the history of our times through photography and film. As a journalist and photojournalist based in the Netherlands, I specialize in capturing moments that define our social, cultural, and artistic landscape.

Documenting Society

As an accredited press photojournalist (PRESS), I have spent years documenting pivotal social movements that shape our daily lives. During the pandemic, when the world faced unprecedented challenges, I was on the front lines, photographing protests in Amsterdam that became symbols of the fight for freedom and civil rights. One of my photographs, Curfew in Amsterdam , was recognized by National Geographic for its symbolic portrayal of the global health crisis.

Music and Concerts

Music and live performances lie at the heart of my creative expression. Over the years, I’ve collaborated with prestigious festival organizers and music clubs across the Netherlands, including high-profile performances at Poppodium Grenswerk in Venlo—one of the country’s most renowned music venues. My work focuses not only on the energy of the stage but also on intimate backstage moments, capturing the essence of artists and their craft.

Philosophy of Work

I believe that every story holds emotional and historical value worth preserving. Whether it’s a protest in Amsterdam, a concert at Poppodium Grenswerk, or a NASCAR race, my approach is deliberate and focused on delivering high-quality content that evokes emotion and leaves a lasting impression. My work is rooted in authenticity, precision, and deep respect for the power of imagery to shift perspectives and shape societal awareness.
